Coleman, 23, the fastest man in the world over 100 metres this year and the favourite for next month’s World Championships in Qatar, has missed three separate tests in the past 12 months. Britain’s Daily Mail and The Times newspaper reported that Coleman, a late withdrawal from last Sunday’s Diamond League meeting in Birmingham, is challenging one of the alleged “whereabouts” failures.

Thomas shares Tour Championship lead
Justin Thomas missed two short putts in a mediocre even-par 70 on the first day at the Tour Championship on Thursday but ended the round tied for the lead with fellow Americans Brooks Koepka and Xander Schauffele. Thomas was grateful for the unique staggered scoring system, which afforded him a headstart at 10-under-par thanks to his top seeding as FedEx Cup points leader entering the season-ending event at East Lake. Third seed Koepka birdied three of the last four holes to card 67 and Schauffele had a 64, the day’s best round by two strokes.
Troubled Barcelona look to Messi for inspiration
Lionel Messi could be ready to play against Real Betis on Sunday and Barcelona could do with him back. In other circumstances, Messi might have left it another week, having missed the whole of pre-season with a calf injury he sustained in his first training session back. But after re-joining his teammates on Wednesday, the temptation will be to put Messi straight to work, to lift the mood after their 1-0 defeat to Athletic Bilbao on the opening night. agencies
