Following the interrogation of two drug peddlers arrested three days ago, the police have nabbed Bikramjit Singh of Partap Nagar area who used to supply sedative pills to addicts.

Amritsar (Rural) SSP Vikram Jeet Duggal said the police confiscated 1,035 intoxicant tablets and Rs7,550 of drug money from his possession. The SSP said Bikramjit’s father Paramjit Singh was also held with 8-kg heroin and at present, he was lodged in the jail.

His name came up during the interrogation of Balkar Singh of Dhayanpur and Gulzar Singh of Havelia village in Tarn Taran.

Balkar was arrested with1,220 sedative pills, 9-gm heroin and a countrymade pistol on August 16, while Gulzar was held with 1,115 intoxicant tablets on August 19.— TNS
