Jeeda case: Traffic cop Ranjit Singh booked

BATHINDA: The Bathinda Police have registered a case against police constable Ranjit Singh in connection with a scuffle with lawyer Navdeep Singh Jeeda at Ghorewala Chowk recently.

The Bathinda Police have registered a case against police constable Ranjit Singh in connection with a scuffle with lawyer Navdeep Singh Jeeda at Ghorewala Chowk recently.

The police had registered a case against lawyer Jeeda, but lawyers had been staging a protest for the last five days demanding the registration of a case against Constable Ranjit Singh and cancellation of a case against Jeeda.

A senior police official said as they had received the medical report of Jeeda from the hospital, after which a case had been registered against constable Ranjit Singh on Thursday.

A case has been registered under Section 325 of the IPC against Ranjit Singh at the Civil Lines police station.
