Dept honoured for cleanliness

SHIMLA: The Department of Language, Art and Culture has been honoured with the certificate of excellence for spreading the Swachh Bharat campaign awareness in 36 government-controlled temples.

The Department of Language, Art and Culture has been honoured with the certificate of excellence for spreading the Swachh Bharat campaign awareness in 36 government-controlled temples.

Secretary of the department Dr Purnima Chauhan, accepting the honour, thanked the “Earthday Network”. She said the “Earthday Network” was working to protect earth from pollution in 192 countries with 75,000 participants.

She said all 36 temples included Jwalaji, Baijnath, Chintpurni. The temple authorities had been directed that ‘’prasad’’ would be distributed in biodegradable bags. The sanitary staff had been directed to ensure that fallen prasad should be collected immediately.
