CHAMBA: As many as 20 major roads linking Chamba had been restored and traffic resumed after removal of the debris of landsides which had occurred following heavy rain during the past few days.

As many as 20 major roads linking Chamba had been restored and traffic resumed after removal of the debris of landsides which had occurred following heavy rain during the past few days. The normal life has returned to normal.

PWD Executive Engineer Jeet Singh Thakur, who is also looking after the Chamba-Pathankot national highway, told media persons that a number of JCBs, dozers and other machinery along with PWD workforce carried out the restoration work on a war footing, thereby opening all the roads. — OC
