The police division 5 nabbed a woman at the court complex who handed over a packet of drug tablets to her husband. The police recovered 80 intoxicant tablets from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Paramjit Singh and his wife Seema Kaur of Gorsia Kadar Bakhsh village.
Investigation officer ASI Pardeep Singh said on Tuesday, Paramjit was brought to the court for hearing in a murder case registered at the Sidhwan Bet police station and when the accused was being taken back after hearing, his wife handed over a packet of intoxicant tablets to him near the gate no 2.
On suspicion, cops on duty checked the packet and found banned medicines. They immediately arrested the woman and handed her over to the police.
