Trade show draws crowd

Ludhiana, August 21

The three-day Yarn Fabric and Accessories (YFA) Trade Show began at Dana Mandi, Bahadurke Road, Ludhiana, on Wednesday.

The chief guests on the first day were Bahadurke Road Textile and Knitwear Association head Tarun Jain Bawa and FICO Textile Division President Ajit Lakra.

On the first day, around 1,500 visitors attended the trade show. The highlight of the day was the fashion show which was organised in association with the YFA Trade Show. Latest technology by Reliance Industries Ltd. and its partners — Neva Garments, Rihanna Industries, Versatile Enterprises and Parasram, was showcased. Recycled polyester which is made with the intent to recycle to save the environment was among the products that featured in the fashion show. Products made with the latest nano technology were showcased too.

“Sustainability is the major focus of manufacturers of yarn that is why we have dope dyed yarns during the process of which the consumption of water is reduced,” said President of Mumbai’s Sanathan Textiles Pvt Ltd Raj Kapadia. — TNS
