Minimum income limit up for BPL cards

PANCHKULA: The state government on Tuesday enhanced the minimum income limit for Below Poverty Line (BPL) cards from Rs10,000 per month to Rs15,000 so as to ensure that more families get the benefit of government schemes.

The state government on Tuesday enhanced the minimum income limit for Below Poverty Line (BPL) cards from Rs10,000 per month to Rs15,000 so as to ensure that more families get the benefit of government schemes.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced this while addressing a gathering at the state-level BPL ration card distribution function organised here.

He distributed ration cards to 37 BPL beneficiaries of Panchkula and Kalka Assembly constituencies. Ration cards to 56,315 beneficiaries were distributed at functions organised simultaneously in all 22 districts and 68 Assembly segments of the state.

“Today is a historical day as BPL cards were distributed among 56,315 persons living the Below Poverty Line after a gap of 11 years. It was in 2008 when this exercise was carried out last,” Khattar said.

CM launches agri board’s e-portal 

Chandigarh: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar launched the e-portal (https://hsamb.procure247.com/hsamb) of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board (HSAMB) on Wednesday. The website has been launched to provide opportunity to own commercial sites on freehold basis in the mandis of the state.
