Bathinda, August 19

A delegation of the SAD (Amritsar), headed by its district president Parminder Singh Ballianwali, on Monday submitted a memorandum, addressed to President Ram Nath Kovind, to the Deputy Commissioner over the demolition of Ravidas temple in Delhi.

Before submitting a memorandum, the delegation raised slogans against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

In the memorandum, the SAD (A) blamed the Modi-led Central Government and the Kejriwal-led Delhi Government for tampering with religious places and historical monuments. They demanded that the demolished Ravidas temple would be reconstructed.

They said Guru Ravidas spent his entire life eradicating the difference between caste-creed and rich-poor in society and demolishing the temple of such a preacher was very unfortunate.

SAD (A) leaders Sukhpal Singh Kala, Amar Singh Gehribhagi, Manjit Singh, Balwinder Singh and Gurcharan Singh were present.
