An interstate cyber fraud identified as Amit Sabarwal (42), was arrested by the police today and more than Rs 25 lakh, fake IDs Aadhar cards Voter ID, PAN card etc were recovered from him.
On July 25, a complaint was received in police station Maurice Nagar wherein the complainant stated that someone changed his mobile number registered with his bank account with an unknown mobile number and transferred an amount of Rs 18,53,923 from his account to several unknown accounts, said the police.
During investigation it was found that a request was made to branch manager of the bank to change the registered mobile number of account holder to a new mobile number, said the police. — TNS
