One held with 20 liquor cases

Mohali, August 18 

The Mohali police arrested a person and seized 20 cases of liquor from his possession.

The suspect identified as Jaswinder Singh, a resident of Fatehpur Bunga village in Kiratpur, Punjab, was on his way from Chandigarh to Kiratpur Sahib in his Lancer when he was caught. The police said he bought liquor from Chandigarh with the intention to sell it at his place on higher rate.  A case under Sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered. — TNS
