Chandigarh, August 16

Nearly three weeks after the High Court Bar Association ordered suspension of work against Haryana’s move to set up an administrative tribunal for adjudicating service matters of state employees, it deferred the stir on Friday.

The decision was taken after the formation of a committee to consider and report about the legality, viability and workability of the tribunal. As the suo motu case came up for hearing in the morning, the Bar association president and the secretary placed before the Bench a letter stating the general house in its meeting convened today had decided that the agitation would remain suspended and the work would resume on August 17. — TNS
