3 lives snuffed out in two road accidents

BATHINDA: Three persons were killed and four others, including two kids, suffered serious injuries in two separate road mishaps in Banawali and Atla Kalan villages in the Mansa district on Tuesday.

Three persons were killed and four others, including two kids, suffered serious injuries in two separate road mishaps in Banawali and Atla Kalan villages in the Mansa district on Tuesday. The condition of two kids is said to be serious and they have been admitted to a private hospital in Bathinda.

As per information, Gurdeep Singh (20) of Talwandi Akalia village, along with Karamjit Kaur and two kids, Ekam and Mehakdeep, were coming from Mansa on a motorcycle when another motorcycle rammed into them near Baniwala thermal plant. In this incident, Gurdeep Singh and Babbu died on the spot, while Karamjit Kaur and both the kids were seriously injured.

Police post Behniwal in charge Gurdeep Singh said, “The condition of both the kids is serious”.

In another incident, motorcycle rider Rajwinder Singh, resident of Mansa, died in a road mishap near Atla Kalan, while his friend Rakesh Kumar, who was sitting beside him, was injured in the incident and has been referred to a private hospital.

However, family members of the deceased have raised suspicion of murder behind his death and police have started a probe into the incident.
