Forests Minister Govind Singh Thakur launched the waste-to-taste café scheme in Kullu today. Conceived by the district administration, the scheme will be implemented by the Municipal Council.

The minister lauded the efforts of the district administration to keep the town clean and collect garbage in a distinct way. He said the people could enjoy delicious dishes by submitting waste at the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) located at Nehru Park in the Sarwari area of Kullu town. Residents can have coffee, siddu, ice-cream, pizza and burger. Four family members will be served food by providing different volumes of garbage like glasses, plastic, cardboards or e-waste. Free coupon holders will be provided these dishes from Kuber Fast Food, Gyani Ice-cream, Book Cafe and City Choice Hotel.

He appealed to all residents to enjoy the delicacies by depositing the garbage and contribute to make the town clean.
