FMC Corporation receives Corporate Leadership Award

FMC Corporation has received the Corporate Leadership Award 2019. Raju Kapoor, Director, Public and Industry Affairs, received the award on behalf of FMC India from Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers'' Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar at a function held in New Delhi recently.

Corruption main impediment for development: Panda

On the occasion of 50th Bank Nationalisation Day, Central Bank of India's CVO Parshuram Panda said corruption is the main impediment for inclusive growth in society. "Our economy is growing at a faster rate than most of the countries in the world. But still one in every four persons does not get a square meal a day. The main reason for this is the prevalence of wide spread corruption in our system which blocks the fruits of economic growth to reach the common man," he said.

500 children take part in Elante’s fashion event

Elante Mall organised a summer event full of fun and fashion for the younger generation by introducing the new category 'Kids fashion' on July 20. More than 500 children took part in this specially curated style and fashion event. During the #WonderKids event, curated mannequins were displayed to feature the new kids collection. IOC constructs 150 toilets under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Dr SSV Ramakumar, Director (R&D), Indian Oil Corporation, recently dedicated 150 toilets to residents of Dulhepur village in Faridabad. These toilets have been constructed under the company's corporate social responsibility programme. 

Jaquar Group carries out expansion of Bhiwadi plant

Jaquar Group has announced the expansion of its manufacturing plant in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, on the eve of its 60th anniversary making it the world's largest faucet manufacturing plant in a single unit. The plant has a production capacity of manufacturing 1,25,000 faucets in daily. 

Godrej Interio conducts study on sleep pattern

According to a study conducted by Godrej Interio, more than 70.2% of Chandigarh residents never or rarely sleep at 10 pm and around 29.6% sleep less than six hours daily. It revealed that only a dismal 15.4% of respondents actually slept at 10 pm. This trend is not only limited to Chandigarh but it is a nationwide phenomenon. The company has introduced a special posture support zone in the newly launched exclusive mattress store which offers the entire range of mattresses.

Contribution of pharma firms significant, Dr Monica Bhatia

Dr Monica Sood Bhatia, managing director, CIMS, has said: "Our country is growing and developing by leaps and bounds in health and medical field. The contribution of pharma companies is significant. With focus on generic medicines, these companies are concentrating on the quality of these medicines. Hopefully, the business award will further motivate them to do better." She said this during three-day Indian Pharma Expo-2019 award function held in New Delhi recently.

CRPF women troopers to get special protective gear

The Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), DRDO, in association with CRPF has designed a protective gear for women troopers. The scientists of DIPAS carried out a careful study of women troopers of CRPF's Rapid Action Force to ergonomically design the body protector. The woman-specific full body protector was unveiled by Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar, DG, CRPF, in the presence of AK Singh, DG Life Sciences, Bhuvnesh Kumar, Director, DIPAS, among others.
