Geetanjali, Kairbi bag prizes in int’l-level dance contests

JALANDHAR: Geetanjali Marwaha (12) a student of Class VII of Innocent Hearts School, Green Model Town, participated in international-level dance competition, organised by India International Dance Congress at Bengaluru lately and won Rs 20,000 as a cash prize.

Geetanjali Marwaha (12) a student of Class VII of Innocent Hearts School, Green Model Town, participated in international-level dance competition, organised by India International Dance Congress at Bengaluru lately and won Rs 20,000 as a cash prize.

Geetanjali stood first in solo dance in U-14 category and second runner-up in couple dance contest. The prizes were distributed by Wilmar and Maria. Bollywood choreographer Terence Louis was also present.

Geetanjali has been dancing since the age of five. She had earlier bagged the first prize at the district-level dance championship organised at Ludhiana. She has been undergoing training from Om Sai Ram Dance Academy.

Kairbi, of Class V also bagged the third position in U-14 category.

Principal Rajeev Paliwal and vice-principal Sharmila Nakra congratulated both students for achieving the distinction and wished them good luck for future.
