Ludhiana: Green Grove Public School put on display the vacation assignments of students at an exhibition, Genius Exposition 2019, on the school campus. The programme was presided over by Ravinder Singh, former student of Green Grove who had secured 33rd rank in the PSC examination. Students of the middle wing showcased their written presentations depicting the importance of reading. Powerpoint presentations on basics of maths and famous authors was also shown. An exciting show on radio was broadcast by Shivam, Komal Aujla, Arshnoor and Pavneet Garcha, all students of Class XI. 

Van Mahotsava celebrated

Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar, celebrated Van Mahotsava. Students of Class I to III planted saplings under the guidance of co-ordinators and Eco club. A slogan-writing activity was held for the students of Class IV and V. An English declamation was organised for Class Vi to VIII on the theme of environmental degradation. 

Traffic safety training 

A safety training session by the Children Traffic Training Park was held at Adarsh Public School. Himanshi Arora, safety ride co-ordinator, conducted a training session for Class VIII to X. She urged students to wear helmet and follow traffic rules.

English Recitation Competition

Guru Nanak Public School, Birmi, organised an English poetry recitation competition for the students of kindergarten. A total of 35 students participated in the competition. They presented poems on topics such as colours, family, nature, numbers and animals. Students were judged on the basis of pronunciation, voice modulation, presentation and memory. 

Dental camp organised

DCM Presidency School, elementary campus, organised a three-day dental camp, in association with Baba Jaswant Singh Dental College and Research Institute, on the school campus. The camp was supervised by Dr Bharat and Dr Sunaina. 

Activities bonanza

To break the monotony of the hectic schedule, Tagore Public School organised various activities for all classes. A Hindi recitation competition was conducted for students of Class III to V. A pool party was arranged for the tiny tots of kindergarten to beat the heat. Seniors showcased their IQ skills in an inter-house quiz competition organized for Class VI to XI on the topics of sports and current affairs.

Best-out-of-waste competition 

To generate among children the habit of using old things to create beautiful crafts, an inter-house best-out-of-waste competition was organised at Ryan International School, Dugri. The competition was open students of Class I to X. Students used their imagination to create innovative things using broken bangles, plastic bottles, ice-cream sticks, peanut shell, beads, thermocol glasses, among other waste materials. 

Inauguration of new school branch 

ABC Magical World Preschool inaugurated a new branch at Sector 32-A, Chandigarh Road. With this addition, the school now has five branches in Ludhiana and nine branches across India. To celebrate this new beginning, Gayatri havan was held on the school campus. TNS
