Around half a decade ago, women used beauty treatment and facials just to enhance their features and get a glow. But these days, they are taking it to extremes to get the “perfect” skin. The holy city has witnessed some beauty hacks that have proved how advance the field of grooming and self-care has become in the recent years.

City women are going out of their way and spending a huge amount of money just to get that picture-perfect look. They are more than ever serious about looks and grooming, availing services at salons that were once limited.

“Gone are the days when facial was done just with creams and scrubs. These days people are going for PRP (Plasma Rich Platelet) facial, commonly known as Vampire facial wherein customer’s own blood platelets are extracted and massaged on face. Such a facial covers most of the skin related issues, such as acne scars, wrinkles and indicates young and glowing skin. Women aged between 25 and 45 years have started including this beauty regimen in their lifestyle. I have seen people of Amritsar going crazy over beauty treatments and are even ready to spend lakhs of rupees in beauty parlours,” says Monika Kashyap, owner of Wellness Expert Saloon.

The bizarre beauty treatment, such as Botox fillers, cosmetic surgeries and weird kind of facials, have correctly proved that age is no bar to make yourself feel beautiful, yet again, from head to toe.

Ritesh Rana, owner at Bridal Villa, says, “I have seen people who are getting one or the other beauty services on a daily basis. We have smart mirror at our salon that tests as well as advices about various common skin problems.”

“I have a bunch of teens and even old ones who come on regularly for grooming and clean-ups. Teens are concerned about acne, clean-ups and facials, whereas women over 40 are more into age rejuvenation and making their skin look more younger,” shares Roop Thakur from Roop Beauty Parlour.

If that’s not all, saloons in Amritsar have come up with various machines which assist in enhancing beauty and reduce human effort for people who work in the salons. These machines check skin issues and even advice that how can one cure a particular problem. Machines, such as RF, make your skin look young and make it glow even more than before.
