Srinagar, July 22

When Faheem Bhat (20) came up with his debut novel “Wandering for Love” in 2017, he felt there was a dire need for a quality self-publishing house in the Kashmir valley. Then last year, he started Lieper Publication that has already published 40 books of young writers. Many of these books have become best-sellers and Lieper has now started attracting writers from outside the state as well.

“When I published my book in 2017, just two authors here had self-published books. The problems that I faced while getting my book published made me realise that young writers need a platform and guidance. We then started Lieper Publication last year and we already have published 40 books. Many books have received good reviews internationally and one book ‘The Mahzur’ by Dr Henana Beerjes is an international best-seller on Amazon.”
