City lad bags gold in karate at Kuala Lumpur

AMRITSAR: City lad Krishav Mahajan, a student of The Millennium School, has bagged gold medal in the 20th Milo International Open Karate Championship at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia recently.

City lad Krishav Mahajan, a student of The Millennium School, has bagged gold medal in the 20th Milo International Open Karate Championship at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia recently.

Eleven year-old Krishav has been learning karate for the last five years. He has a collection of around 45 medals.

“My focus is on improving performance and getting medal for my nation,” said Krishav Mahajan. His father Vaneet Mahajan, an advocate, feels extremely proud of his son’s achievement and says he loves his game.

Krishav is not only interested in taking up karate in future, but also keen in his studies, he goes for his practice, once finishes his school home work.“ I don’t have much of activities or hobby. I love karate. I make sure to balance both my studies and game. I do not like missing practice,” he added. Krishav termed his Malaysia experience as a learning one, instrumental in improving his game through interaction with his seniors.
