A six-day summer school program — VISTAS OF SCIENCE — sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, under Star College Scheme was organised at DAV College, concluded on Saturday.

Principal Rajesh Kumar congratulated the departments who worked hard for the successful completion of the programme. He also motivated the students to actively take part in such activities in future as well.

Dr Pratap Kumar Patti, an eminent scientist and head of biotechnology department of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), was the chief guest for the valedictory function. He motivated students to come up with innovative ideas which can bring change in society.

Daizy Sharma, coordinator of the programme briefed about the science programme and what the students learnt in these six days.

The participants, too, hailed the session as they said that it was a learning opportunity for them.
