Lok Sabha MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla visited the Bhagtanwala grain market and inspected the ongoing renovation and construction work here on Saturday.
While conducting the inspection of the ongoing work, he asked the officials concerned to speed up the process and don’t compromise with quality. The government will spend Rs 12 crore for the construction and repair of sheds.
He was felicitated by commission agents at a special function. Arhatiya Union president Amandeep Singh Chinna demanded construction of an overbridge on the railway line to save the time of farmers and avert traffic jams.
While addressing the commission agents, Aujla said he would meet the Railway Minister seek a bridge. He also assured them and labour to address the issue of Bhagtanwala dump adjoining the grain market. Aujla appreciated the role of commission agents to help farmers. Several councillors and Congress leaders were present.
