Heroin worth Rs 600 cr seized

New Delhi, July 19 

The police arrested five persons with a total of 150-kg Heroin worth Rs 600cr on Thursday. The police said two among the arrested persons were chemical experts hailing from Afghanistan. Four luxury cars had also been seized from their possession. The two were previously involved in cases registered under the NDPS Act. 

In another incident, the police held two persons with over 500-kg marijuana on the charges of drug peddling in the city and the National Capital Region (NCR) on Friday. The police said 17 bags containing 510-kg marijuana had been seized from the accused. —TNS/PTI
