Murderous assault on ASI: Naib tehsildar, her mother named

Amritsar: Days after murderous assault on ASI Prabhjit Singh, the Gharinda police have named Naib Tehsildar Robinjit Kaur and her mother for their alleged involvement in the case. The incident had occurred at Rampura village on June 30 when the victim had come on leave for settling a land dispute. Robinjit is daughter of slain ASI Ravinder Pal Singh who was shot by SAD youth leader Ranjit Singh Rana in 2012. She had got the job on compassionate grounds. Manmeet Singh, SHO, Gharinda police station, said she along with her mother was nominated on the statement of the ASI. He said investigations were underway. Despite repeated attempts, Robinjit could not be contacted. TNS
