Dearness relief up for pensioners

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has decided to release three due instalments of dearness relief (DR) of January 1, 2018; July 1, 2018; and January 1, 2019 to pensioners and family pensioners who are drawing pension in the Sixth Pay Commission structure.

The Haryana Government has decided to release three due instalments of dearness relief (DR) of January 1, 2018; July 1, 2018; and January 1, 2019 to pensioners and family pensioners who are drawing pension in the Sixth Pay Commission structure. According to Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu, the DR would be released to pensioners and family pensioners on the pattern of Government of India. Now, the DR rate will be enhanced by 3 per cent from 139 per cent to 142 per cent on January 1, 2018; by 6 per cent from 142 per cent to 148 per cent on July 1, 2018; and by 6 per cent from 148 per cent to 154 per cent on January 1, 2019. — TNS

Aid for deceased staff’s kids increased  

The Government has decided to extend the benefit of enhancement in children education allowance from Rs 750 per month to Rs 1,125 per month with effect from May 1, 2018, to eligible children of deceased government employees. Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu said  Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had approved a proposal to this effect.
