Farmers in Hisar and Bhiwani districts have complained that they are unable to upload details of their crops on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal. Reason: their names and that of their villages have not been uploaded on the portal.

The online registration of crops is mandatory for farmers to avail themselves of subsidy and to sell their produce to procurement agencies.

Rajesh Kumar, a farmer from Barwala who has sown cotton on his five-acre land, said: “After failing to find details about me and my land on the portal, I contacted the costumer care of the Agriculture Department. An executive expressed her inability to assist me. She suggested me to take up the matter with the Revenue Department. The details of the entire town are unavailable on the portal.”

Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Ravi Azad said similar complaints were pouring in from Bhiwani district. “The data uploaded on the portal is incomplete. The details of five to six farmers in every village are missing.”

A district official said uploading information on the portal was a long process. “Officials are working overtime to upload the details. Farmers unable to register on the portal should contact the district administration,” he added.
