Nehru Kendra members visit Golden Temple

Amritsar: Newly elected district youth coordinators of the Nehru Yuva Kendra paid obeisance at the Golden Temple and other historic places in the city on Monday. Local members of the Nehru Yuva Kendra, led by district coordinator Sarbjit Sigh Bedi, welcomed the visiting delegates. They paid floral tributes to the martyrs at the Jallianwala Bagh and watched the Retreat ceremony at the Attari Wagah joint checkpost. Two arrested with heroin

Tarn Taran: The city police nabbed two persons for possessing 52-gm heroin from the local Kasur drain on Monday. The accused have been identified as Jagjit Singh of Noordi and Sawinder Singh Sarkaria of Bagrian village. A case under Sections 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPA Act has been registered against them. The police are trying to ascertain whom did they get the contraband from. OC
