New Delhi, July 16

The crime branch of the Delhi Police arrested a man for allegedly supplying imported drugs to guests at high-profile parties organised in farmhouses of south Delhi on Monday.

The police on Tuesday said the accused had been identified as Karan Khanna (32), a resident of Mehrauli. Imported marijuana, 1,200-gram charas worth Rs 25 lakh, one THC shatter (500-mg cannabis oil) and malana cream were seized, said the police.

According to the police, Khanna used to supply imported marijuana, marijuana oil and malana cream to guests at the high-profile parties.

Interrogation revealed that Khanna procured charas from Himachal and supplied it to his friends who organised private parties in farm houses of south Delhi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) G Ram Gopal Naik said.

Later, Khanna was joined by his brother. The two were regular at rave parties and took two farm houses on rent in the isolated areas of Mehrauli and Fatehpur Beri where they used to host private parties, he said.

Invitations to such parties were strictly on the basis of reference by their friends and no outsiders were allowed, the officer said.

Eventually, Khanna’s brother came in contact with dealers of imported narcotic substance, said the DCP.

One SUV used for transportation of drugs and mobile handsets had also been seized, said the police, adding that efforts were on to nab Khanna’s brother. — PTI
