Bathinda: An unidentified person has been booked for fraudulently withdrawing Rs 1.4 lakh from someone’s bank account in the SBI’s Milk Plant branch. Victim Iqbal Singh of Housefed Colony has lodged a complaint with the police that on February 9, 2019, in which he stated that an unidentified person had withdrawn Rs 1.4 lakh from his account. Now after a probe into the victim’s complaint, a case has been registered against the unidentified person. TNS

Assault case: Residents protest

Barnala: Demanding the arrest of all suspects in an assault case, residents staged a protest in front of the Tallewal police station here on Monday. “Some persons attacked Manjit Singh Dhaner, senior vice-president of the BKU Dakauda. The police 

must register an FIR and arrest all suspects,” said Darshan Singh, a leader of the BKU Dakaunda. When contacted, Gurdeep Singh, Station House Officer, Tallewal police station, denied the allegations. “There is no delay on our part. We are conducting detailed investigations,” he added. TNS
