Man riding SUV steals bicycle!

Chandigarh, June 26

A man riding an SUV allegedly stole a bicycle from outside a house in Sector 23. The theft was reported on June 22. However, a case was registered at the Sector 17 police station on June 25.

The police received a complaint from Dinesh Sharma, who works with the Haryana Health Department, stating that a bicycle, which he had purchased in 2018, was parked outside his house in the morning and a few hours later, it was found missing.  CCTV cameras installed at the spot were scrutinised and it was found that a middle-aged man arrived in a grey SUV. He opened the boot of the SUV and kept the cycle in it. 

 The suspect then hurriedly left the spot without even closing the boot of the SUV.  The police have registered a case under Section 379 (theft) of the IPC in this regard at the Sector 17 police station.
