StudyAdelaide, an agency of the Government of South Australia to promote Adelaide as an international study destination has announced 10 Indian students as ambassadors for the region.

The Indian Student Ambassadors are being awarded with an exciting 2-week support package worth 4,000 that includes airfares, two-weeks accommodation, a living allowance and free access to key Adelaide festivals and events, enabling students to soak up the full educational and lifestyle experience of the city.

The ambassadors will be encouraged to engage with friends, family and the community to showcase Adelaide's advantages and what makes it one of the best Australian cities for international students, by sharing their story through posts, videos and blogs.

The competition got an enthusiastic response from the students across India with large number of candidates applying to win the coveted 'Study Adelaide Student Ambassador' tag. The 10 chosen ambassadors are Adele Maria Xavier from Kolkata, Prithvi Rana from New Delhi, Nakul Vaidya from Nagpur, Karishma Das from Guwahati, Ashish Toor from Patiala, Janvi Chaudry from Ludhiana, Vivek Bhardwaj from Punjab, Shamini Thankaraj from Chennai and Chaitanya Sharma from Jaipur.

Speaking on the occasion, Andrew Houey, Director International Marketing at StudyAdelaide, said, “We are overwhelmed with this response from India. The applications were of a very high quality. It was difficult for the judges to choose the ambassadors”.
