As temperature soars, it becomes imperative for everyone to keep himself hydrated, especially during the peak hours of the day.

Dietician Ridhi Khanna says, “People should consume adequate water as well as buttermilk. These days there are a lot of chances of getting high or low blood pressure so people should keep themselves nourished and consume fruits, fruit juice and also sweet drinks or lemonades which can help people a lot in summers.”

Muskan, an accountant, said, “I apply lotion and cover my face and arms with scarf and gloves as I step out”.

People are also making sure to carry water bottle to beat the heat. “I carry a water bottle with me whenever I go out,” said Gurpreet Singh.

A section of society has made itself accustomed to fighting heatwave to make a living. “I cannot sit back home. I have to work to support my family. I try to drink aerated drinks to work,” said a rickshaw puller.

People are using traditional methods to keep themselves energetic amid the scorching heat. “We can’t shun work. I eat curd or buttermilk at times to keep me energetic and work for long hours,” said a fruit vendor.
