Hyderabad dancer stripped after she refused sexual favours to bar customers

CHANDIGARH: A dancer at a bar was allegedly stripped and beaten up by four fellow women dancers and a man after she refused sexual favours to customers at a bar in Hyderabad on Sunday.

A dancer at a bar was allegedly stripped and beaten up by four fellow women dancers and a man after she refused sexual favours to customers at a bar in Hyderabad on Sunday.

The dancer filed a complaint with the police after which the four women were arrested while the man is on the run.

In a complaint to the Panjagutta police, the woman said that she had joined the bar a few months ago and the management was allegedly forcing and harassing her to extend sexual favours to the costumers.  She claimed that she was beaten up when she refused.  

The accused have been booked for assault on woman with intent to outrage her modesty, for criminal intimidation and for voluntarily causing hurt.

Following the incident, Mahender Reddy, Director General of Police (DGP) Telangana has sought a detailed report from the Circle Officer, Panjagutta regarding the incident.
