London: Spice Girls singer Geri Horner has apologised to her bandmates and fans for leaving the group abruptly in 1998. According to BBC, Horner said she “was being a brat” when she quit the band. “I need to say something I should have said a long time ago. I’m sorry. I’m sorry I left... It is so good to be back with the girls that I love, “ she told fans and her bandmates at Wembley Stadium where the group played the last gig of their reunion tour. Horner, aka Ginger Spice, left the band at the peak of their fame 21 years ago. At the time, she said she was suffering from exhaustion and needed a break. PTI 

Trump stirs up feud with London Mayor Sadiq

London: US President Donald Trump has further stirred up his ongoing feud with London Mayor Sadiq Khan by blaming the Pakistani-origin Labour leader a “disaster”, blaming him for a recent spate of stabbings and street violence in the UK capital.  Trump and Khan have repeatedly clashed ever since the mayor questioned the red carpet being rolled out for the US President by Britain, most recently for a state visit hosted by Queen Elizabeth II.  Khan has also likened Trump to “20th century fascists” for his divisive views on immigration, with Trump hitting back with social media messages about his “terrible job” as Mayor of London. Taiwanese queues 24 hrs to be 1st into new Apple Store 

Taipei: An Apple fan waited around a day to become the very first person to enter Taiwans second official Apple store in the Xinyi district of the capital Taipei. The 33-year-old fan Lu Shao-hua said: “I came here between 2 pm and 3 pm on Friday, because I wanted to become the first visitor to the new Apple store,” the report said. It may be realled that when the Cupertino-based company inaugurated its very first store inside the Taipei 101 shopping center in July 2017, the first visitor was a 28-year-old man who had stood in queue for 68 hours. Apple said nearly 4 million people have visited their in Taiwan since it opened almost two years ago. IANS

Israel PM’s wife convicted of misusing public funds

Jerusalem: An Israeli court on Sunday convicted the wife of PM Benjamin Netanyahu of fraudulently using state funds for meals, under a plea bargain which saw her admit to lesser charges. Sara Netanyahu was found guilty of exploiting the mistake of another person and ordered to pay a fine and compensation, in a deal approved by Jerusalem magistrates’ court justice Avital Chen. Sara Netanyahu was also fined 10,000 shekels ($2,800) and ordered to reimburse the state a further 45,000 shekels, the latter of which she will pay in nine installments, at her request. AFP
