3 held for Gurugram shop owner’s murder
Gurugram: The police have arrested three youths Suraj Kataria, Manoj Kumar and Suraj on the charge of murdering trader Sudhir Taneja here on May 28. The accused had opened fire on Taneja, snatched his bag containing Rs 10,200 and fled on his scooter. TNS

Three get life term for murder
Sonepat: Additional District and Sessions Judge Parminder Kaur has sentenced three persons - Dheeraj of Bakhtawarpur, Manish of Chaulka and Praveen of Kharkhoda -to life imprisonment, convicting them of the murder of a girl of Kundli village in the district. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 on each of them. If they fail to pay up, they would serve one more year in jail. OC
3 arrested for robbing trader
Kaithal: The CIA-1 unit of the police has solved a case in which unidentified persons had snatched a car and other articles of a Cheeka businessman at gunpoint on January 28. The police have arrested Sonu of Dhamtan in Jind district, Mahipal of Karoda village and Sunil alias Bheema of Andana in Sangrur district under Section 341, 365, 292 of the IPC and the Arms Act. They were taken on a two-day police remand. SP Waseem Akram said shopkeeper Bhajan Lal was going to his native village about 9 pm when three men, with faces covered, intercepted his car. They took snatched Rs 5,000, two mobile phones and an ATM card from the trader. OC
Man found dead, wife booked
Yamunanagar: The police have booked a woman on the charge of abetment of suicide after her husband was found dead. On the complaint of the deceased's brother Dilshad of Taharpur village, a case was registered against Sania under Section 306 of the IPC on Saturday. The complainant said that his brother Boby (43) worked in the fields of Ram Kumar of his village as a labourer. He said that after getting divorce from the first wife, Boby married Sania in 2008. "Sania used to quarrel with Boby and she got him killed," alleged Dilshad. TNS
