CM visits kin of deceased AN-32 pilot

PALWAL: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday visited the family of late Flight Lieutenant Ashish Tanwar (25), one of the 13 Air Force personnel who died in the crash of AN-32 aircraft earlier this month.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday visited the family of late Flight Lieutenant Ashish Tanwar (25), one of the 13 Air Force personnel who died in the crash of AN-32 aircraft earlier this month.

Tanwar’s family is a native of the district’s Deegot village, but resides in Sector 2 here. Khattar expressed grief over the demise of the young pilot. “The state government stands behind the family and will support the pilot’s dependents in whatever way possible. His death is not only a major loss for the family, but also for the Indian Air Force and the nation,” he said, adding that an unfortunate incident snatched a young officer’s life.

The officer is survived by his wife Sandhya, sister Anjula, mother Saroj and father Radhey Lal. His wife is a radar operator in the Air Force.
