Man dies in accident

PANIPAT: A 45-year-old man from Sirhind in Punjab was killed while his wife, son and a driver sustained injuries in an accident on the flyover on NH-44 on Sunday.

A 45-year-old man from Sirhind in Punjab was killed while his wife, son and a driver sustained injuries in an accident on the flyover on NH-44 on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Baljeet Singh, alias Dimple. He, along with his wife Karamjeet Kaur and son Karanpreet, were on the way to Sirhind in a taxi from the Delhi international airport.

Amritpal of Nabha, in his complaint to the police, said the family members were coming from Canada and were on the way to Sirhind.

When they reached the flyover near a petrol pump here, their car collided with a canter. The police have registered a case against the unidentified canter driver. — TNS
