Youth told to stay away from drugs

Payal DSP Surjit Singh Dhanoa visited villages of Machhiwara area during which the DSP, along with the SHO Machhiwara, addressed the public meetings at different places.

During meetings with sarpanches, panches, nambardars, chowkidars and youths at villages, including Adhiana, Udhowal Kalan, Chakli Adal, Burj Kacha and Hedon Bet, the DSP checked the arms of licensed weapon holders and sought information about crime in their respective villages and areas and appealed to them to help the police to curb the crime and drug menace in the area.

The DSP in his address appealed to the people, especially youth, to stay away from drugs and inform the police about drug sellers to control the menace of drugs.

Apart from it, a meeting with DAPO volunteers and members of the Sanjh Committee was also organised at the Sanjh Kender Machhiwara as per Machhiwara SHO Ramaninder Singh.
