Summer camp for sports enthusiasts

Ludhiana, June 16

In order to make students acquainted with various games, a district and sub-divisional level summer camp is being organised especially for those kids who are sports enthusiasts. The camp, being held by the District Sports Department, kickstarted today.

Approximately 200 students are participating in the camp.

The district-level training will have six games. In athletics, Sanjeev Sharma will give training to 15 students at Guru Nanak Stadium, Gurmeet Singh, too, will coach 15 students at GHG Khalsa College, and Arunjit Kaur will coach 15 students as well in hockey at the Khalsa College ground.

For volleyball, Barjinder Singh will coach 10 students at the multipurpose hall, while Saloni and Jaspal will impart training to 15 basketball players at Guru Nanak Stadium. Besides, training for kho-kho, judo, boxing, among other sports will also be imparted. —TNS
