Jan Manch a boon to people, says minister

CHAMBA: Education, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said the Jan Manch programme launched by the state government had proved to be a boon for the people, on Sunday.

Education, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said the Jan Manch programme launched by the state government had proved to be a boon for the people,  on Sunday.

Bhardwaj presided over the programme organised at Government Senior Secondary School, Telka, in Chamba. He said as many as 350 applications were received listing various demands and all the demands were met.

Efforts had been made for the implementation of eight schemes of the government, and targets were achieved, Bhardwaj claimed; adding that the target of providing 127 LPG connections in the identified panchayats under the Grihini Suvidha Yojana had been achieved. 55 pregnant women and children were immunised. Also, 247 girls had benefited under the Beti Hai Anmol scheme. 

He directed the officials of all the departments to resolve the remaining demands and grievances in a time-bound manner. He impressed upon the officials that it was imperative for the administration to be sensitive towards grievances of public.
