Govt likely to make memorial to Flt Lt Mohit Garg: Singla

Punjab Cabinet minister Vijay Inder Singla on Sunday visited the family of Flight Lieutenant Mohit Garg, who purportedly died in the AN-32 crash in Arunachal Pardesh. He said the government was considering making a memorial of Mohit in Samana.

He was joined by Rajinder Singh, MLA Samana, Kumar Amit Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mandeep Singh Sidhu.

He said the Punjab government is in contact with the Indian army to bring the body of the flight lieutenant back to Samana. Asked by press reporters about making a memorial of Mohit in Samana, he said the government was considering the same and decision about the same will be taken soon.
