Burglars decamp with valuables, cash

The miscreants broke into a house at Kailash Nagar and decamped with articles and cash worth lakh of rupees. The theft took place on Friday afternoon when no family member was at home. The family members had gone to attend last rituals of one of their relatives.

When the family members returned home, they found the home ransacked. However, the main gate was closed. As per the information, the burglars had entered the house from backside and then reached the roof to break the door to enter inside the house.

The house owner Kuldeep Singh said they checked the CCTV cameras installed at nearby locations. A suspected person, who could be an aide of burglars, was seen sitting outside the house for an hour, he said. The police are investigating the case. — TNS
