Netflix has released a brand new drama that is being acclaimed as one of the year’s best films.
German film Alles ist gut — which is translated as All Good — is the feature debut of Eva Trobisch and currently has a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score of 100 per cent.
The hard-hitting drama debuted at the Munich Film Festival in 2018 and has only now become available to watch on the streaming service.
It follows a woman named Janne (Aenne Schwarz) who, after being raped by her new boss’s brother-in-law, conceals the incident and attempts to continue her way of life as usual.
Going by the film’s glowing reviews, its early Rotten Tomatoes score looks set to remain unchanged.
The drama has been unanimously acclaimed by critics, with Variety’s Guy Lodge calling it a piece of “grown-up filmmaking of sharp, subtle daring.”
Other critics have suggested that the film’s more nightmarish moments never feel unearned.
