Chinar power projects celebrates raising day

Jammu, June 13

The Chenab Valley Power Projects (CVPPPL) celebrated its 9th Raising Day  with fervour here today.

The CVPPPL was formed on this day in 2011 for the execution of three hydropower projects, Pakal Dul (1,000 MW), Kiru (624 MW) and Kwar (540 MW) on the Chenab basin in Kishtwar district.

Chairman Navin Kumar Choudhary and managing director MS Babu emphasised the need for making coordinated efforts to achieve the milestones.  

Babu highlighted the achievements of the company and progress of the projects and thanked board members, promoter companies National Hydroelectric Power Corporation, JKSPDC and PTC, the J&K Government and Centre for their support.

Various games were organised and awards distributed to the winners. 

A musical show was also organised in which singers and dancers performed.
