UDHAMPUR:The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Udhampur, on Thursday held an inter-generational walkathon and games event for senior citizens and youth at the Subash Stadium here.

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Udhampur, on Thursday held an inter-generational walkathon and games event for senior citizens and youth at the Subash Stadium here.

The event was a part of “Ageing with Dignity” campaign, started by the DLSA in collaboration with the District Youth Services and Sports Department, under the chairmanship of Principal District and Sessions Judge Mohan Lal Manhas and the overall supervision of Sandeep Kour, Secretary, DLSA.

The walkathon was flagged off by the DLSA chairman. A large number of senior citizens, along with youth and children, turned up for the event.

Beside others, District Jail superintendent Harish Kotwal, retainer lawyers Sanjit Kumar and Karun Raina and Bar members were also present on the occasion.

DLSA chairman honoured the participants above the age of 70 by presenting them with mementos.— OC
