Shimla, June 11

Governor Acharya Devvrat met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today and congratulated him on for becoming Prime Minister for the second time in a row.

The Governor discussed various issues and talked about several development projects pertaining to the state with Modi.

The Governor said the work was going on to make Himachal a natural farming state by 2022. Around 3,000 farmers and fruit producers have adopted natural farming in the state so far. A target has been fixed to make 50,000 more farmers and horticulturists adopt to natural farming.

Keeping in view the tough topography and limited resources with the state, Devvrat demanded liberal financial assistance to the state. — TNS
