Two arrested for attacking youths

Three youths have been booked in a case of assault and under the Arms Act. The suspects had attacked a few youths in Sector 49 here on Thursday evening. Two of them have been arrested.

According to the police, complainant Kunal Behal, a resident of Sector 49, reported that Anmol Diwan (20), a resident of Sector 51, Tushar Sharma (18) and Abhinav, both residents of Zirakpur, threatened him and his friend Vikas Rawat.

The suspects also thrashed the complainant and his friend. The police said one of the suspects also possessed a country-made pistol.

A case under Sections 308 (attempt to culpable homicide), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC and Sections 25-54-59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the suspects. Anmol and Tushar have been arrested.
