Karnal, May 24

Sanjay Bhatia, who won the Karnal seat with a historic margin of 6,56,142 votes from his nearest rival former speaker and Congress candidate Kuldeep Sharma, gave the credit of his victory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strong leadership and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s transparent and corruption-free government. He took out a victory procession in Karnal city today.

“It is the victory of the strong leadership of PM Modi, transparent and corruption-free government of CM Khattar, and the dedication of party workers. It is also the victory of the voters of Karnal and Panipat districts who voted for a strong India by rising above caste and creed,” said Bhatia while talking with The Tribune.

Advising Opposition leaders against using derogatory remarks, Bhatia said they should go among the masses and play a constructive role of the Opposition.

About his priorities, he said, “My focus would be health, education, and improving road network and basic amenities. I will make Karnal and Panipat districts industrial hubs and will try my best to provide maximum jobs to the youth. I will also keep a check on the migration of people from rural to urban areas by creating employment opportunities in villages.”
