Bathinda, May 24

A day after the poll verdict, Congress candidate Amrinder Singh Raja Warring said he doesn’t blame anyone for his electoral loss while accusing the Badals of exploiting money power and resources to win Bathinda and Ferozepur seats.

Talking to mediapersons during his thanksgiving tour here today, Warring said, “The Badals had pulled out all stops to win these two seats. They misused money power and all their might, but despite that they could defeat me by mere 21,000 votes. They had put their entire party at stake for the sake of winning these two seats, as SAD workers from across the state had descended here.”

On trailing from Bathinda (Urban) segment of Finance Minister Manpreet Badal, he said Manpreet had always helped him during the elections and he worked hard all through the campaign. However, at the same time, he added that he had expected better result in Bathinda (Urban). He also said no action should be initiated against anybody while replying to a query on the CM’s warning to act against those ministers or MLAs from whose segments the party trails.

Meanwhile, Warring and Manpreet later attended a meeting to deliberate on the reasons that led to the party’s debacle in the constituency.
