550th Parkash Utsav: DSGMC to adopt 550 needy students, says Sirsa

NEW DELHI:DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa said on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev the committee will adopt 550 poor and needy students.

DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa said on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev the committee will adopt 550 poor and needy students. The committee will take care of entire expenditure of their education.

Sirsa said this decision was taken in a special meeting of the DSGMC.

He said students will be adopted on the basis of their economic condition and their other needs. Parents of such students should be "Amirtdhari". The students should not be from the schools run by the DSGMC and their CGPA should not be less than 7.5.

He said students should come to study in any class.

The DSGMC president said an education committee has been formed to adopt these students. The committee will make an enquiry of the students whether they are poor and needy.

Sirsa said Kulbhushan Chadha, Balbir Singh Kohli, SMM Pal Singh Goldi, Prithipal Singh Sahni, and Sukhdev Singh Rayat are members of the committee.

He said the decision to adopt poor and needy students for education has been taken with the advice of known personalities of Delhi.
